Ingrid Kihlander, Senior Researcher of RISE and Noboru Konno, President of JIN exchange signed agreement at IMS SUMMIT 2024 in Osaka, December 2

Japan Innovation Network (JIN) has signed a new strategic cooperation with the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden to promote Innovation Management System (IMS).

Since 2015, JIN has organized the national steering committee for ISO TC 279 (Innovation Management System) and representing Japan in the ISO negotiations. RISE is Sweden’s national research institute that promotes innovation and IMS, aiming to achieve a sustainable society. JIN and RISE signed its first cooperation agreement in May 2021 to provide trainings for innovation professionals and sharing expertise & knowledge on innovation. Today, both parties agreed to elevate their partnership to a strategic cooperation.

Through this strategic cooperation, JIN and RISE will undertake the following activities:

a) Collaborate to identify, study, publish, and communicate good innovation management practices in Japan, Sweden, and internationally.

b) Collaborate to promote personal certifications based on the ISO 56000 family of standards provided by RISE in Japan.

c) Collaborate to share experiences and promote activities related to Innovation Management Systems Award (SIMA) for recognizing good practices by organizations and professionals in Japan, Sweden, and internationally.

JIN will continue to strengthen its cooperation with organizations promoting innovation and IMS in Japan and abroad, while providing up-to-date information and expertise to organizations in Japan.
